The Codiaeum variegatum is native to Indonesia, Malaysia, and Australia. This variety is commonly called Gold Dust. The Gold Dust has narrow green strappy leaves with gold flecks/splodges hence the name, a dense and compact plant when young and can become more rounded and leggy when mature. A hardy plant in warmer climates, position in a bright spot with plenty of indirect sunlight. The Gold Dust will even grow in artificial light which makes it an ideal houseplant. The Gold Dust like a humid environment so mist regularly to assist with this. Moderate watering is needed, keeping the soil moist during Spring/Summer.
