Pellaea falcata is native to Eastern Australia. Commonly called the Sickle Fern, it is an attractive and tough native fern with semi-erect fronds up to 70cm. They produce dark green glossy broad heart-shaped pinnae especially when young. They prefer a well-drained, moist soil so adjust watering so suit the season. Position your Sickle Fern in a low light to dappled light position to thrive. The Sickle Fern is great as an attractive feature indoors in a pot or used for mass planting in outdoor ferneries and rockeries. To keep your Sickle Fern looking at its best, remove spent fronds to soil level.
