Description
The Arachnoides standishii is native to Japan, Korea and nearby areas. The Arachnoides standishii is commonly called The Updside Down Fern. A very attractive fern that is a great contrast to thicker foliage. This evergreen fern has fronds that can exceed 60cm in length, but usually no more than 50cm and can grow to 20cm wide. The fronds are a pleasant rich green colour. The pinnules are more heavily veined on top then on their lower surface and they hang down giving the frond an upside down appearance (hence the name). The Upside Down Fern likes a shady spot with bright indirect sunlight, and requires moist well draining soil but don't overwater, reducing watering in winter. If you have your Upside Down Fern indoors position away for heating
