Peperomia argyreia (watermelon peperomia)

The Peperomia argyreia is native to South America and is commonly called Watermelon Peperomia.

The Watermelon Peperomia can grow to approx. 25cm tall.

The Watermelon Peperomia gets its name from the shape and markings on the leaves, it has asymmetrical oval green leaves with striking curved silver stripes atop red stems.

The Watermelon Peperomia grows well in bright indirect light. Position your plant in a bright room in a shaded position. Insufficient light will cause the growing to slow and direct sunlight will burn the leaves. They don’t need a lot of water, allow the top layer of soil to dry before you water. Overwatering can lead to root rot and underwatering will cause your plant to wilt.
