Tradescantia zebrina ‘spiderwort’

Tradescantia zebrina is an attractive creeping plant with a metallic, silver and purple fleshy leaves. They are native to Mexico and Central America. A popular houseplant, They are great in a decorative pot and for hanging baskets and ground covers to fill in areas quickly in your garden. This is an easy to care for plant, regular watering when the soil starts to dry. When grown outside partial shade is best, when inside they will tolerate full sun so it gives you so many options on where to position your plant in your home. If you want to keep your plant compact as they vine/creep pinch the stem tips at the start of the growing season.
